The hummingbird, or HUITZILIN in Náhuatl, symbolizes the enjoyment of life and lightness of being.

It has been considered a sacred bird since ancient Mexico. It represented the god Huitzilopochtli who wore it on his headpiece, always accompanied by a flower. 

This fascinating bird is capable of the most amazing feats despite its small size, such as traveling great distances, polinizing and being able to fly backwards.
